what we deliver …
Our provision is fundamentally built around the development of a healthy mindset and wellbeing … the foundations for meaningful and sustainable change. With these in place, the taking of bigger steps like learning new skills, taking on new responsibility or commitment (such as volunteering) and the most topical … finding and securing employment … are more realistic and achievable.
We have a number of programmes that fall under the following key headings of:
health and wellbeing
moving toward employment
living in a digital age
All our courses are currently 10 hours in length and run over 5 sessions of 2 hours.
They can all be run either face to face at our hub or online with the method of delivery being governed by the relevant government guidelines and restrictions at the time.

As part of the Building Better Opportunities project we have been funded to run 2 ‘hubs’ … one in Letchworth and, more recently, one in Stevenage.
Each of these offers one or more weekly ‘drop-in’ session … either 1 full day or 2 half days. These are open to anybody and everybody and are there to provide a safe, non-judgemental space where individuals can meet others, seek advice and guidance or simply take some time out and feel OK for a couple of hours every week.

We have 2 projects that include mentoring opportunities for individuals that need on-going one to one support.
These are:
BBO … the Building Better Opportunities Project
Foundations 4 Work (f4w)… a great initiative funded by settle housing for their tenants
Both programmes involve a significant investment and, understandably, require a minimum commitment from the individual to want to make progress.

Within 2 of our projects, BBO and f4w, we run individual activities or a series of activities. These may be around focusing on the self such as mindfulness or confidence building … or skill based such as art or pottery … or maybe career focused such as CV writing or self employment.
Whilst it can sometimes be a requirement to be part of a project to access these activities, there are often number of places available for others and it is therefore always worth checking these out.
