Chief Executive
Team Administrator
Letchworth
please note … whilst this is a 12 month contract we sincerely believe that success in the role will enable us to fund the position on a more permanent basis.
In addition, for the right candidate, we could be flexible over the number of hours per week … as long as all weekdays were covered and we were happy the role would be fulfilled.
We’re looking to expand our small, friendly team and have a unique opening for someone who has energy and drive and is looking for an opportunity to make a real difference within a budding and vibrant organisation.
the role
We recently launched our Hub in the centre of Letchworth and it’s from here that we work and engage with our participants and deliver our programmes and activities. In a nutshell, we’re looking for someone to become the hands-on manager of this pivotal space. Someone who has the energy and drive to help us grow and develop our hub into the unique and special haven we know it can be … right at the heart of our community. This will mean really getting under the skin of what we do and how we do it, embracing our values and culture and becoming the ‘go to’ person for all things ‘Hub’. In addition, developing an operational framework that ensures the smooth running of the Hub on a day-to-day basis. This role is about making the Hub work … for us and the community.
the person
Naturally, we are looking for capability and experience in organisation, logistics and planning … but just as important are the people and relationships skills. Important to us will be to have someone who has a natural empathy for the people we work with and is aligned with our values and purpose. Given the size of our team and where we are on our organisational journey, it is essential this individual can work independently and on their own initiative. Lastly, we need a team player!

ways to make a difference …
as a member of staff …
… we have a small team of staff with roles ranging from administrators, to mentors and Hub managers.
Any vacancies we currently have will be listed below … simply click on the vacancy to find out more and register your interest.
as an associate …
In addition to our core staff team, much of our delivery is undertaken by a wider network of associate facilitators who we engage on an ‘as and when’ needs basis. We are always on the look out for creative facilitators who share our values and passion for the people we support.
in a support role …
As a small organisation we are not of a sufficient size to enjoy the comfort of being able to employ full time staff in the typical core functional areas of a business. With this in mind, we are always looking for experienced individuals who share our values and can offer us support in those core areas, either on a voluntary basis or at a subsidised market rate.
as a volunteer …
As our organisation has grown the need for volunteers has become more important if we are to properly meet the needs of our participants and service users within the resources we have available.
If you would like to volunteer with us on a part-time basis for a number of hours per month then please click on the link below.
Typically, we have opportunities for classroom support, meeting and greeting, cleaning and room preparation and many more. If there’s something in particular you’d like to offer then please still click on the link below to let us know.
as a member of advisory board …
We are currently developing an ‘advisory board’ whose underlying role will be to oversee our governance and check our delivery versus our purpose and objects.
To this end we are looking for individuals who can give up a couple of hours 3-4 times a year to meet; offer advice and guidance where appropriate and generally engage and support us in achieving our aims and making as bigger impact as we can.
In particular, individuals with particular skills or experience i n relevant areas such as the voluntary sector, training and education, bid writing, working with vulnerable individuals would be particularly welcome. That said, we are always keen to meet individuals who share our values and passion for the people we support!
